- Develop new business opportunities in Italy
- Build, manage, and maintain existing customer relationships with waste to energy producers, brokers, and logistics service providers
- Identify customer needs and develop suitable business concepts
- Coordinate national and international material flows in line with customer and market requirements
- Negotiate trading agreements and successfully close contracts
- Establish strategic partnerships with waste producers across Italy
- Achieve sales and procurement targets in coordination with management
- Monitor market trends in the waste management, recycling, and energy sectors
- Analyze pricing structures, logistics costs, and regulatory impacts on the profitability of individual business cases
- Stay informed about current Italian and EU waste regulations (e.g., permits and transboundary waste shipment regulations)
- Ensure all trading activities comply with applicable environmental and legal requirements
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and face-to-face customer meetings
- Work closely with internal departments such as Trading, Legal, Operations, and Finance.
- Regular travel to production facilities is an essential part of the role
- Visit the company headquarters in Bremen (Germany) once per month
Il tuo profilo
- ou have a proven experience in business development, sales or procurement, ideally within the waste management, recycling, energy or related industries.
- You have gained experience in the international logistics sector.
- You have a flexible, independent, and structured way of working, combined with strong analytical skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- You are communicative, enjoy working as part of a team, and maintain open and transparent relationships with international colleagues and managers.
- You can demonstrate a successful track record in commercial negotiations, including pricing, contract terms, and contract closing.
- You possess strong market analysis and commercial evaluation skills, including the assessment of pricing structures, logistics costs, market trends, and the profitability of individual business cases.
- You have excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop long-term partnerships with customers, suppliers, brokers, and logistics providers.
- You have outstanding communication and negotiation skills and are confident representing the company in customer meetings, industry events, and conferences.
- You are fluent in Italian and English.
- You are willing to travel frequently to production facilities as well as customer and supplier locations and can comfortably combine monthly meetings at our headquarters in Bremen (Germany) with your personal commitments.
